MEMBERSHIP CAMPAIGN
There is also an end-of-year campaign for the Moose Legion that will run from March 1 - May 31, 2010. This is an opportunity for Moose Legionnaires to invite friends, relatives and associates to climb aboard the Moose Legion Train, as we are "ON THE MOVE" to build membership in the Degree of Service. Moose Legionnaires that sponsor two (2) applications during this campaign AND get them enrolled and reported on LCL by 10:00 PM CDT on May 31, 2010 will receive a year's Moose Legion dues for free. These sponsors will then also have their names entered in a drawing to win one of three Moose Legion life memberships to be awarded on June 1, 2010.

Sponsors during this short-term campaign will continue to earn credit toward all current membership campaigns and programs, including Medal of Honor for achieving a minimum of 50 membership units - and any higher division recognition (plus qualification for the 25 Club Party for those Medal of Honor recipients who earn it) and earning the Elite Moose Legionnaire Ring for attaining 100 membership units, or higher divisions.

Western IL Moose Legion at one time had 7 Lodges in and many more members. Today we are down to two Lodges, Rock Island and Geneseo.

We need to work at increasing our membership in the Moose Legion from these two Lodges. One hundred members from each Lodge is a goal that could be reached. We also need to keep our current members. We you as members to attend our six meetings each year.

The other way that we can increase our Moose Legion membership is to get Moose Service Centers going. A MSC is a small group of men in a community that does not currenty have a Moose unit. At one time we had a Lodge in Moline, East Moline, Aledo, Kewanee, and Galesburg; to name a few. Could we work to get a MSC in these or othe local towns. Then maybe we could get a few of these Moose member in the Moose Legion.

Call me and you and I can get started on a MSC.
